About
For Belly is a feature-length screenplay that was adapted from Julie Tortorici's one-woman show, Belly. Moving from a one character piece to a story about three women, For Belly is at times, poignant, sometimes sad and other times silly and fun. Shooting began on June 18th, and finished on the 29th and was shot on HDV. Co-directors, Alicia Arinella (who directed the one-woman show) and Matthew G. Rashid will teamed up with the wonderful John Kelleran as Director of Photography. Now in the editing stage, we'll be teaming up with the wonderful San Francisco jazz musician Henry Hung who will compose the movie's original soundtrack. Look out for this movie in early 2008 in the festival circuit!

Summary
For Belly tells the story of three women whose lives are simultaneously altered in the span of one afternoon. At its center is Frannie, an obsessive-compulsive housewife who hasn’t left her home in over 3 years.Additional shooting was just shot this past weekend in Manhattan and DUMBO (at the fabulous reBAR). This shooting focuses on the flashback sequences for the three women in the story.
For Belly remains in post production and should be finished in late summer.
